Info on Telehealth
Telehealth involves meeting with your therapist over the internet. Like a video conference call, these sessions include both video and audio connection, so you and your therapist can see and hear each other in real time. Telehealth is conducted in exactly the same manner as in person psychotherapy; although you’re seeing each other through your phone or computer screens, there are no changes to the treatment methods or quality provided.
I am very experienced conducting online therapy sessions and have set up my therapy spaces to be conducive to the audio and video needs of the format. My aim is that I am as approachable and welcoming to you online as I would be sitting across from you in the same room.
You will need a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, as well as a strong internet connection to engage in Telehealth. We would also want to make sure we schedule your Telehealth sessions at a time during which you will have a quiet, private space from which to engage in your session. Like in-person sessions, Telehealth sessions are generally much more productive when you feel confident that you won’t be overheard or interrupted. I want you to be able to feel comfortable during your sessions, so it’s best to find a place where you won’t be interrupted by colleagues, family, or pets.
